Wanting to venture somewhere new, she went to medical school at Nova Southeastern University, getting her DO and MPH degrees. Missing the hikes, nature, and culture of the West, she is very happy to be in San Francisco for psychiatry, enjoying the close mentorship and wide range of exposure that the CPMC Psychiatry program provides. Currently she is most interested in consultation-liaison/psychosomatic psychiatry. Other interests include acoustic guitar, live music, travel, and good food.

Since starting residency she has completed a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, and plans to continue her training and incorporate it into her practice. When she's not busy being a resident, Gaby spends her time hiking in the headlands of Marin, practicing yoga around the city and exploring all the great neighborhoods and restaurants in the city and the East Bay.

Jeremy Parker
PGY-4, Inpatient Chief
Jeremy had a nomadic childhood but wound up on the East Coast for his training. After completing his undergraduate education at Columbia University and medical school at Brown University, he made the trip to opposite coast to explore his longstanding curiosity about San Francisco. He was drawn to CPMC in particular by the faculty and residents he met here on his interview day, by the familial atmosphere of this small and intimate residency, and by the program’s promise of strong training in psychotherapy in addition to pharmacology. Interests within the field include psychosomatic medicine and psychotic disorders. Interests outside of the field include creative writing, the occult, excessive introspection, sweets of all kinds, and karaoke.
